Start with something specific.

“How do I grow?” is a big question. “Where does our sales handoff lose context?” gives another owner something concrete to work with. Describe the situation, what you have tried, and the decision you are considering.

Make room for experience.

Ask what someone has actually tried, what surprised them, and what they would change. Their experience may not match your business exactly. That difference can become a useful part of the conversation.

Close the loop.

If a conversation helps you take a next step, share what happened. What did you learn? What remains unresolved? A thoughtful follow-up gives the next person more to build on.
